PSP 8 - Simple Bound Script Tutorial
Copy, Paste as a New Image, and Close the Original Graphic
This tutorial will guide you through the steps to create
a simple script to accomplish with 1 click, copying an open image, pasting
it as a new image, and closing the original image.
Open a graphic or photo - your choice. It doesn't make any difference
what format or size (as long as it's not a pspimage with more than 1 layer). Now, go to your script toolbar and click on the
Start Script Recording button.

Make sure your graphic is active and press the Shift+D keys on your keyboard. Now, once again make sure your original
graphic is active, and close it. You will have only 1 graphic
on your desktop and it should be named image 1 - this is the copy of
your original graphic. Go back to your script toolbar and click on the
Save Script Recording button.

At this point, you will open a Save As screen. You will
want to save it in your Trusted Scripts folder, and name it BoundScript1.

After you click the Save button, put your cursor on a
blank space on your menu bar, RIGHT click and choose Customize. Scroll
down to Bound Scripts on the left side, and click and drag the Run BoundScript1
scroll icon on the right side to your Script Toolbar. You can place
it anywhere.

This is what your Script Toolbar will look like once you've
completed all the steps.

Fire up Windows Explorer. Go to your My Documents\My PSP8 Files\Scripts-Restricted folder and delete the BoundScript1 file. This script will only work if there is ONE icon of BoundScript1 in the Scripts-Trusted folder, and NO icon of BoundScript1 in the Scripts-Restricted folder.
Now each and every time you open a graphic to work on,
just click on your Bound Script 1 button, and within seconds you will
have a copy to work on while saving your original in it's pristine state.
